I got this great PB as a refurb but I have 2 questions. There's a hole on the left hand side above the function keys - is that a reset button? And is it the CD drive that makes the whooshing noise or is that the fan cutting in?

I've been using Macs for 11 years and I feel so dumb asking these questions!

Hehe, no problem man. That "hold" there is a built-in microphone for like recording voice notes and what not.

And that swooshing sound when you insert a CD is the drive itself.
