Hi...I am not interested in benchmarks. I have about another month of saving to do before I can order my Powerbook. That leaves me with a lot of time to dream about it

I am curious if anybody here has experience using an ibook (800mhz-900mhz) and now uses a new AL Book. I sold my 800mhz ibook...and now am using my Uncles 900 mhz ibook. Of course both are g3's (I have never owned a g4).

My 800mhz ibook I felt was operable, due to Quartz Extreme and the 640MB RAM it had. My uncle's 900mhz ibook feels slightly more snappy, but it only has 384 MB RAM and with too many programs open will bog down easy. I was more satisfied with the 800mhz and the extra RAM (RAM IS KING).

Anyway, I was hoping that someone here has used a similarly configured ibook...or has a family member who has one...and can fill me in on what to expect with the new PB. How does it feel (especially with Photoshop/Dreamweaver/Flash).

I am expecting a 100% speed increase due to the fact that I'll have 67mhz increase in system bus, a 5400rpm HD, and at least a 50% increase in processor clock speed with altivec since it is a g4. Oh yes...and at least 1 gig of RAM in the new system.

Oh I can't wait damnit. Someone tease me!!!
