Apple charged my card on Saturday, delayed my order until next Monday, and wont even talk to me because sales support can discuss developer orders. I have to call back between 8am - 6pm to talk to the people that handle developer orders. All I can say is nice customer service Apple.. geeze.

Oh did I mention I didn't even get an email letting me know it was delayed? I just happened to see that it was bumped up to next week.

Same thing happened to me, I guess they are screwing with the people that used the ADC discount...This sucks big time...

I ordered mine w/ the ADC discount last Monday, it shipped last night.

17" BTO to 5400rpm HD.

**Update**

So if Apple didn't suck already... now they are saying there is a problem with my card.. yeah there is.. they preauthorized the amount and left it hanging and tried to charge me two more times. So I called my card company and since Apple never finished the first transaction they have to fax a request to cancel the preauth or it stays on for 10 days.

Prior to that Apple ran 2 - $1 preauths. So the 3rd for the full amount should have been followed through or cancelled and instead left it hanging.

Of course when I try to call Apple, I get put on hold with a wait time of 23 minutes. I'll keep everyone updated as I get more pissed throughout the day.

I called them in the morning at around 9 am est. and got through in like a minute. They said that my pb was in the manufacturing process because it was a BTO system. But because of the inconvience and stuff they credited $50 to account, I tried getting a free wireless keyboard or mouse, but said they can only do 50 dollars, and they said that this point it wasn't possible to change my shipping, so that means its still shipping using "Bestway", which is worst than ground.

Oh well....

I have the same problem. They charged me one day later after I placed my order and then try to charge me again today. I've been calling all day but still don't get a chance to speak to a real people!

So has anyone who used the ADC discount NOT had a problem? I used my ADC and I have yet to be charged. Ordered on 9/28, ship on or before 10/6. I don't see any Apple charges on my bank account statement yet (pretty realtime, bankofamerica.com).

Here's hoping. So, developers, lets hear some good news stories

How did you get the $50? Are you an ADC order? I wanna try to get this too but they are blaming the authorization problem on my bank. I don't think thats the case but I have no proof. I wouldn't mind $50 off. =)

Yes. It's an ADC order with 1 512mb and 5400 rpm drive. I just called them and told them that need to compensate me for my time, and she basically ended up giving 50 bucks back. I asked if they would give me accessory for free instead of the money but she said its not possible for her to give anything else but the money...so oh well..i got the money

Also it turns out mine was suppose to ship out today, but they tried charging the card today and it got declined because they already had an outstanding authorization. So the guy at apple ended up cancelling all the authorizations and charged me again...and it seems like this time it went through. So hopefully it will ship tomorrow.

I bet if you'd have threatened to pull the order, they'd have thrown in the keyboard. From the stories I hear, they'll do a lot to keep your order. If you're just ticked off they may compensate you some cash here or there, but they probably won't do more without extra incentive.

** Update **

So I finally goto apple.com today and it says its shipped and this is the tracking number i got 12451684265, but if you try looking that up, it says it was delivered back in august, how does this make sense.

Let me know if you guys have the same problem.
