In an attempt to truly speed up my new 15 powerbook, I want to add some extra Ram.
ANyone have any suggestions as to the best to use (Besides the Apple Memory of course)?

There are lots of good memory dealers. OWC, Crucial, etc. However, if I were you, I would go to the MacNN.com homepage, and try and find one of their sponsors that sells RAM. These boards aren't free to operate, so I would try and support them first!

I use crucial.com
but I like the idea of hitting a sponsor. Look out for the little guy.

I use OWC. They don't support these boards, but they have supported xlr8yourmac.com for years, and that's good enough for me.
They've always been reliable, too.

I would also like to upgrade my memory. I live in Canada, and none of the online stores that sell memory have pages dedicated to memory for macs. All I know is that the memory for the 15 inch powerbooks are supposed to be DDR PC2700 333mhz sodimm. Are there different number of pins associated with the PC2700 sodimm memory? or are they all the same. I dont want to buy one (they all seem to have 200 pins from what I've seen) and end up finding out that apple uses 184 pins for some weird reason and dont go with the standard.
Thanks!

I use 18004Memory ( www.18004memory.com)
Best prices usually, and FAST shipping...never had any issues, and I always buy their cheap RAM.

umm, when I say none of the online stores have pages dedicated to apple memory, I mean none of the ones in Canada (I'd rather buy in canada cuz i've had bad experiences with brokerage fees buying things through the US. stupid UPS!!!)

Speaking of RAM, can you get 1GB sticks of RAM for the 15" Al PowerBook yet? I've only seen the chips as high as 512 MB.
