honestly get ~ 50mins on a full battery on my Tibook...it's pretty ridiculous when my classes are typically 1.5hrs.
Does anyone know if batteries are covered under warrantee?
'cause thatd make this guy pretty damn happy!
actually, for that matter, are those flimsy adaptors covered under warrantee?

Apple has replaced some batteries under warranty. Take it to an Apple Store and see what they say. First, download the freeware X-Charge and use it to graph several battery discharges. You'll have some data to show the Apple techs (post some of the results here, so we can see actual numbers).

Meanwhile, what Ti do you have? Here's a tip that has rejuvenated some batteries, namely resetting the PRAM in open firmware--many people report longer battery discharges. I'm including the apple tech link:

1) reboot while holding option-command-o-f (boot into open firmware)
2) type reset-nvram (return)
3) type reset-all (return)
4) type reboot (return)

Also, if this doesn't work and you decide to buy a new battery, you're better off with a replacement battery from NewerTech rather than the Apple battery:

Firstly, thanks.
Secondly, I've dowloaded X Charge and it looks like my 50minute estimate is dead on. Through 25minutes of normal use (writing an essay, talking on MSN, the battery had dropped from 100% to 49%.
I wonder if any other Tibook users can share their results...
