Is $1,000 a good price for a used 15" 867MHz Ti Powerbook (combo/256MB/40GB) with damaged hinges? One is broke, the other is fractured.

Sounds like a lot of money for a computer that will, at minimum, cost $300 or up to around $1200 if you send it to Apple and they decide it needs an LCD.

Yeah, I see your point. It's only going to loose value, but the repair will probably always cost the same. The hinges are not related to the LCD, are they?
