Arghhhhhhhhhh...

I've ordered my new PB 15" last week and the shipment estimate was yesterday, october 1st...so I was expecting to have my full new PB brand new cool before the end of the next week, at the latest. No news from them yesterday, so I called them today and...

Guess what's the new delay they put me in... November 17th!

I'm dying here. The french keybord is the reason they told me. A very very very bad news...

But, my iPod is on his way. Good. But with no computer to transfer the music, what I'll do.

I think I'll cry...

I've bought a AL PB 15". Combo drive. What's BTO exactly?

I don't think it's a Canadian related thing. They told me that was because de french keyboard was out of order for now. Even the Apple stores in town have the same problem. They only have the french keyboard one's that they have ordered a month ago. But for the rest, all is avaliable and ok...

lucky you, you'll have yours soon!

BTO = Built to Order (i think)

Edit: Customized, extra ram, different disk, airport extra, etc.

Wow, that sucks big time. An extra month and a half.

Yeah, BTO = Build to Order. If you change anything, it typically adds addition time to built. Usually if you change just the memory it takes an extra day or two. But anything else like upgrade harddrive or upgrade/downgrade Optical drive usually adds a week or two.

ordered 09/25/03 Est. Ship 11/07/2003

People here have noticed a large delay if they order a single 1GB RAM Module. If you can live with only 512 in 1 slot, or 1GB in 2 slots, then your shipping time should improve...
