Just received my new 12-incher from Powermax. Everything's beautiful, but one thing I find a bit odd is the power button doesn't light up. Is it supposed to? Seems like it always has on all the other Macs I've seen.

Mine doesn't either.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be that way.

I don't think it is suppose to light up. I know mine doesn't, nor did it light up on any of the iBooks I've previously owned.

The actual BUTTON you press to turn it on does NOT light up on PowerBooks...it does on PowerMacs. However, the tiny blue LED light on your latch button pulses blue when it's asleep...really cool

Cool, thanks guys. I guess I was thinking of the old iBooks or something.

Man, this machine is amazing! Moving to OSX from Windows and OS 9 is like night and day. Still stunned that I was able to import all my messages/mailboxes from OE Win into Mail.app without a hitch.

OK, guess I'm veering a little OT here ... can't help raving a bit!

They should have it light up, it'll cool really cool with the blue LED light... oh well... Apple can't even light up the keyboard right, so I won't expect them to light up the power button as well...

A lit power button would just be distracting at night. The power light is the big Apple on the back!

I've got a white rather than blue LED on the little latch on the front - it pulses whenever the computer goes to sleep.
