There's been much discussion historically about the orders, but was looking to help folks see what the current and projected situation is regarding the outstanding orders.

Hey, it's all about expectations, so maybe we can help each other.

I placed an order for BTO 15" on 9/26. Indication was for 10/3 or before ship. Well today it still sits as an open order. Decided to give Apple a call. Really no information.

So what happens on 10/4? Should I anticipate another email with a new ship date?

I see some other folks are in similar quandries. One can only hope that something will happen. Some folks have referred to assemble. Is that a status that shows on the status page?

When I went yesterday to build a PB, I noticed it showed again 3-5 days. Now if this is really another 10 business days in addition, as a business policy they should be more realistic.

Then again, if Panther is going to be added in, who could complain.

Has your card/account been charged for the price of the powerbook?

I was under the impression that they wouldn't bill your card until they were ready to ship.
