I have upraded and updated my operating system several times. I recently Installed 10.2.6 0n my ibook. Ever since, opening folders, starting applications, and navigating through websites has seemed very slow. The thing that seems most strange to me though, is that the wheel that spins onscreen to tell you that there is some action going on switches back and forth from from the colorful wheel to the old black and white wheel. I hardly ever see the wheel that is made out of flashing dashes. Is that what I am supposed to see all the time? I don't understand why it does this, but I think it has something to do with the problem. Any ideas?

From what you describe, I suspect you are still using IE, aren't you? If this is the case, switch to Safari... it's *much* faster...
