As I've heard that some folks have been struggling to get this hotcake well after not getting a ship notice on my apple online order,I heard that JandR has them in stock.

Yes they do and I called them this morning and place my order for the Superdrive standard 1.25 model for $2500.

I mentioned the Macconnection extra ram and asked them what they could do on the price. They said how about $2500. I said "done" and that's a wrap.

By the way, their shipping cost are also much more reasonable than most, and I believe mine is less than $15.

I'll have mine in hand in a couple of days. If someone out there doesn't want to wait and thinks panther will be available soon, why not.

I placed my oder last Tues. before 9am, paid for 2 day shipping and got it on Thursday.

The great thing about this deal is that you don't have to pay for the extras first and then send in rebates.

Also, my Book is perfect. No dead pixels, no warped screen, no dents,etc....battery life is pretty lame but that seems to be pretty common. I guess I'll have to spring for an extra one. I'll wait until Panther comes out and then we'll see if there is an improvement.
