My new 15" powerbook (combo drive) shipped with OS X 10.2.7.
I upgraded it to the new 10.2.8 without incident.
By the way, I sold my G4 17" Rev. A to get this powerbook. I have no regrets. The new machine is thus far perfect.

To confirm the confirmation, on my new 15" 1.25ghz Al, it came with 10.2.7 and I updated to 10.2.8 with out incident or discomfort.
