I'd really like to hook up my Genesis and other consoles to my Powerbook instead of a television (I've got a few reasons for wanting to do this). Are there any solutions out there that would allow me to do this?

Not that the EyeTV doesn't look damn sweet! But I really don't need my Powerbook to double as a television since that'd require running some cables up to my room and that really isn't an option.... I just want to be able to hook my consoles to it.

*edit*

"Q. Can I connect my PlayStation/GameCube/XBox to EyeTV?

A. You can, but playing on the EyeTV display won't be much fun since the MPEG decoding mechanism currently employed by EyeTV introduces a delay of about 1.5 seconds. In other words, it always takes about 1.5 seconds before the results of a game controller command are displayed in the EyeTV window. EyeTV is a great solution to record your gameplay though."

So... EyeTV is definitely out of the running.

Couldnt you just use the Dazzle DV bridge. It converts analog signals to DV via firewire.
people ruin everything....
