Could someone explain to me how the original 12" powerbook is a revision, a revision of what?

It's just a matter of semantics; more clear: Version A and Version B?

I can't really tell you on benchmarks, but on overall feel, the RevB is much "Snappier". I had the choice back when they first came out to get a iBook 800 or and 12" 867. When I did the side by side compare, the iBook was actually quicker in most tasks. In PS7 the RevA just edged the iBook out. My new 1ghz 12" (REVB) is noticable faster in EVERYTHING over the iBook 800, so I'd have to say, not by benchmarks, but overall, the revB is noticably quicker. And as a bonus it barely gets warm. I've never been able to get it even slightly hot, much less uncomfortably so. I think they are running 1.25GHZ underclocked in these or something.

Your version makes sense, the other is just silly.
