On my rev a 12" PB I had it set to ignore the trackpad when a mouse was present. This did work OK. But today I've got the mouse in, and that option is ticked yet the trackpad still works too. Annoying and confusing. Anyone got any clues?

probably got a corrupted prefs file. Maybe the com.apple.systemprefs.plist im not sure which one it could be also try trashing the com.apple.finder.plist. In your users/yourname/library. Then try the option again. Also restart the computer without the mouse
then replug the mouse. YOu may also want to zap your pram. Furthermore i would repair permissoins on the system

Wow! You forgot the part about swinging the rubber chicken around your head three times!

WOPR -

These are dynamic configurations. Understand that sometimes things go wrong. I suggest just trying to restart first. Agreed, you shouldn't have to do this everytime. But perhaps, in this case, it is required. It's the easy fix, so try it first, then come bac and let us know how it worked.
