Does anyone know the process you need to go through when you sell a Mac? Do I need to formally switch the cpu to the new owner or do they re-register it (I'm assuming its not the latter as that would not have any measures in place to protect against someone stealing a cpu and the registering it as their own).

Thanks!

I just sold mine (no applecare) and I was told that the new owner merely has to register the applecare when he buys it under his name. Done and done.

I'm not sure how exactly to do it if you've already registered the applecare though. I was on the phone forever w/ apple just to figure out what I know.
