Where is the best place to buy RAM for the 12" PowerBook 1ghz model? The one I most commonly hear about is crucial.com but was wondering what were other good places to look into.

it isn't so much where you buy it from, as much as it iss what you get.

samsung, kingston, crucial the brands are all fine.

I personally don't buy into the crucial hype. That is all my work buys and i see plenty of sticks doa or get flakey, just like every other brand.

i bought some cheap ram from macsale.com the owc house brand, and it worked fine in my pismo.

I would hit pricewatch.com and search for the best deal on a brand name ram that meets the specs of your powerbook.

I got mine from newegg.com around $95 for a 512MB DDR 266 200-pin SODIMM. Pretty good considering the fact that Apple charges you $300 for this.

www.crucial.com

Great quality ram. A little more expensive, but still a boatload cheaper than apple, worth the peace of mind knowing you have a quality product.
