Hi, I was wondering if any other PISMO users running 10.2.6 have experienced Kernal Panics when swaping their mediabay drives?

Any solutions before I give 10.2.8 a try?

Still same problem here with upgrading to 10.2.8, unfortunately. It was the first thing I checked for. Have you tried putting Pismo to sleep before swapping modules in 10.2.6? That sometimes works for me.

I have the same problem when I want to put my CDR drive in. I've just gotten into the habit of turning the Pismo off to swap the CDR drive with the extra battery.

Its a shame that Apple seems to refuse to rectify this issue along with PCMCIA cards freezing the desktop for many minutes forcing waiting for the device to eventually mount.

Am I the only Powerbook owner who finds these two flaws incredibly annoying and outrageous to have been left unresolved since introduced four updates past, over six months ago?
