Just got my Rev. B 12" combo today. I just want to ask u other 12" owner (Rev A or B) some questions:

1. My PB fan seems to be running frequently and it sounded pretty loud, is this normal? Compared to my white iBook, this thing IS LOUD

2. The screen on my PB seems to have blueish overtone compared to the iBook. I like the iBook screen better (maybe because I'm so used to it). Tried to calibrate it to make it loook like the iBook screen but can't. Any suggestions?

3. The combo drive on this thing is pretty loud too.

4. Overall, I'm pretty happy. It's plenty fast but the fan noise really annoys me.

Calibration suggestion:

Get SuperCal from versiontracker.com. It makes ANY LCD look better! The details of the OS X UI stand out much better, color is more accurate, etc.

My fan hasn't come on yet. What apps are you using?

I find my fan kicks in if I am recharging my battery from reasonably low levels and using the computer at the same time (wireless, iTunes, surfing, etc.)

Putting sometime under the back edge of the unit (under the screen) like a DVD case, etc. definitely helps too.

Otherwise, it's pretty quiet most of the time.

Cheers.
