what can i say?

this is truly an amazing machine... no white spots or dead pixels (after reading all the lemons on this forum I really began too worry)

Apple Canada Store phone was great... I placed an order for this baby on Sunday Sept 28th.. shipped on Oct. 5th paid for 3 day expidited shipping and it arrived today Oct. 8th 9:30 am.

I have not yet tested any graphics program but I can just feel that this is going to rip my old G4 400 to shreads..

For everyone else who is thinking of getting or waiting for the their PBs. DONT WORRY its worth the wait..

Trust me I have PC friends who wonder why I prefer macs... to them they are virtually the same for working but I say only a mac user can appriciate working with a mac and thats all you really need to explain.

I agree, I picked mine up on Sept 20 and it totally rocks!! It's handles everything I throw at it, graphic apps, 3D modeling, games, movies. Once you go Mac, you never go back!

Mine has been great so far as well. I tried it out with UT and Jedi Knight II, and they were both huge, huge improvements over my old iBook 700MHz.

Now I have to try out UT2K3.

I can't agree more. My 15al is perfect in everyway. No dead pixels no white spots, its more or less perfect. The hinge is kindof iffy, doesn't want to close all the time but there is an easy fix for that. Im extremely happy with my new 15al!

Hmm I'm not sure what to think... on one hand I have a PERFECT screen. Its bloody awesome. Nothing's stuck and no white blobs.

On the other hand, the latch refuses to work unless I close it really fast, and I'm worried that it might damage the screen. And then there's the trackpad button which is usually stiff.

Should I go get it repaired or can these be solved with other means? I don't want them to replace mine with one that has a crappy screen though.

And what sucks also that is I lost my on-campus job, after buying the powerbook. I might have to sell it off to pay rent instead.

I love mine....and it also rocks...is there a little gap when the book's closed? I can push my screen down a little bit even when it's latched!
thanks for the reply

I think it's like that on all the new 15" powerbook's.
It's meant to be.
