1.25 Albook, 1 gig ram, 5400 rpm drive, backlit keyboard, and a 3 year payment plan! lol.....

I was worried as hell checking the forum the past little while. Alas, my baby has arrived and she's a fine one. No white spots, it's honesly smoking my G4 733, battery life is a little short but FINE (I imported 6 audio CD's into itunes, synced them with my ipod while powering it!) and I still got about 2 hours battery life!
This machine is an absolute beauty. I couldn't be happier. The sensor thing is fantastic and works like a charm (All keys including the F row!) The only problem overall has been a little gap in the powerbook when its closed. I'm still able to push the screen down a bit when the book's closed. Anyone else have this issue? it's not that big of a deal since I have a seemingly perfect screen!

ps. The Ipod kicks ass!...it took me less then 10 seconds to download 2 gigs of audio into it!

conclusion: This is my first laptop ever. You can imagine the smile on my face right now!

best wishes to everyone powerbook owner out there

Really happy to hear that it's going well and that you're happy with it. They're great machines.

Your iPod sounds like it's had too much caffeine, though 2GB in under 10 seconds is very impressive.

Did you receive you pd and ipod at the same time??
I assume you are sending in your rebate, right?
Is there a time limit on the rebate? (buy a bundle and get a bundle back)

yes, I did get the education bundle. Which in canada means about 300 bucks off, or a 10 gig ipod basically!
The ipod arrived a couple of days before the powerbook.
best wishes

How well is your f-row lighting up? Is it as bright as the letter keys? I had to send mine back because of the uneven lighting...you can barely see my fkeys and arrow keys....

hmm...well, its bright enough....maybe its just a tiny bit less lit than the rest but I suspect that the brightness of the screen has a lot to do with that F row!
best wishes
I am really happy with the albook. It's a dream!
