An Apple tech told me today to run the Hardware test DVD in loop mode.

I know how to boot by holding down the option key while starting from the DVD. But the loop mode is not visible to select.

Do any of you know the key strokes and how to run this? The 'L' is involved, but he didn't tell me where or when to press.

I'm supposed to let this run overnite.

put the disk in, restart, hold down the C button. Should work, there is no L involved. Just select the hardware test on the menu.

Hi,

The Tech mentioned another step, but it went over my head; I thought it would be obvious tonight, but it's not. Something enters this loop cycle to run until I decide to stop. It's supposed to reveal borderline memory of which there appears to be alot of.

Any other ideas, perhaps option 'L'?
If your DVD is handy, maybe you could see what I mean.
