12" pb trackpad problem

Hi,
I just got a new 12" pb. The trackpad seems to work fine most of the time, but it seems that every so often (~5 mins) it has some weird anamolies such as:

my finger is off the trackpad (mouse is at (x,y))
I place my finger on the track pad
this makes the mouse move to a new position (x', y')
I take my finger off without sliding
the mouse moves back to its old position (x, y)

as I'm using trackpad normally, when I lift my finger, the mouse moves in a random direction for a short distance.

Basically the mouse sometimes moves in unpredictable ways. I thought maybe I was paranoid at first, but it has happened repeatedy (though I can't make it happen on call). I think maybe the trackpad has a small air bubble in it or something. I was wondering if anyone had this problem, and to get suggestions on what to do. Since it works most of the time, and the bug is hard to reproduce, I don't know how to handle it. I also thought that it might just be a driver problem, though I doubt that. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I suggest you check the trackpad prefs and see if they are set to "clicking and dragging" ON....there were changes in 2.8 that allow some refinenment of trackpad usage. I find it to be VERY sensitive (have also checked "ignore accidental input"...which seems to help with sensitivity to my "fat fingers")..

hope this helps.
