Having just bought a 17" model and deciding it's too big and not as impressive as I thought it would be, I'd consider the 15" model instead but not until I'd heard all the white-spot and latch issues are resolved. And I agree, if you already have a Ghz PowerBook, keep it for awhile. The new aluminum 15" model isn't that much better.

I'm about to get a 15" 1.25, after my iBook bit the dust (it wont even boot anymore). I'll probably order it in about a month.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Sorry Guys, but I STILL love my 12" Powerbook! I use a 15" at my work and I prefer the 12" --My screen on my 12" is better than the 15! The 15" is older though. That must be the difference. I just like the size of my personal 12" Powerbook.

You just can`t be the screen size of the 17!
Couldn`t do without it.
Since the difference in size and weight is not that much compared to the 15 travelling is no problem.

Wait... so you own a very nice TiBook and you also have a desktop that you want to trade for a new PowerBook? Why do you want to get rid of your desktop? Why would you want to trade a desktop for a second PowerBook that is only barely better than your current one? I don't understand.

The Power Mac I got at home is a G4-400, but I gradually to find more difficult to accomdate the desktop at home, taking too much space and my family would want to re-arrange everything at home, thus I am looking for something that would allow me to work around the home without "restrictions" through lines and cables...

Maybe you would find it hard to understand, but what I can describe to you that my home is just as small as a pigeon's hole.....

Corinthian, i think the polls is semi flawed beasue it assumes you can still get REvA versions of the PBs But nonetheless, if i didn't have my PB17 RevA, I'd be buying hte RevB, simply for the lovely screen realestate that makes CAD drawing a delight.

djjava, what CAD programme do you use on a mac? I'm Microstation at work on PC, and would love to be able to use it at home.
