Do you always leave your powerbook in sleep mode or turn it off completely when you're not using it overnight? Which is better for it?

I usually just leave mine to sleep - occasionally restart to freshen things up, or when getting on a plane - never like leaving flying metal to chance.

Sleep.
One might argue that sleeping the machine is better for it than shutdown/restart, as there's less wear and tear on the hard drive. Also it probably uses less power to sleep overnight than to do a shutdown/restart sequence.
so...

Sleep.
Neither choice offers any advantages in respect to hardware life. So just choose the more convenient option and sleep.

I haven't turned my 17" powerbook off since i got her 2.5 weeks ago. I even put her to sleep when i carry her all over town checking out the various HOTSPOTS/WiFi centers.
hope that is ok
i think that the drive "PARKS" while sleeping so that i won't hurt her while driving.
isn't that correct?

I always sleep it unless I know it'll be over 48 hours before I turn it on again. If I won't touch it for 2+ days, I Shut Down, if not, I sleep it.
