Hey everyone!
I'm thinking about selling my mint condition 15.2" Ti1Ghz/1MB/60GB/SuperDrive/Airport and picking up a lesser expensive 12" 867/40GB/640MBComboDrive/AE. I really don't need all the extra stuff that the Ti has as I usually just use it for web surfing, e-mail, business accounting and ad creation in AppleWorks, iPhoto and the occasional short video stuff in iMovie. I am looking at the financial aspects of this too as the extra $$$ from selling the Ti would help payoff some bills too! Anyway, the prices seem to be pretty good on the refurb 12" Combo AlBooks right now and I have been looking at Toast Titanium as a possible alternative for when I need to create a short video, but I have never used Toast or made any type of video CD or SVCD. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have an iMac FP with SuperDrive also and I have made some DVD's with iDVD, but how does the video CD and/or SVCD compare? Do they play on regular DVD players as well as Toast says they will? Is the movie quality good or compromised? How long of a video can you burn to a video CD? And of course, I'm assuming you can burn a video CD with your ComboDrive, right?
Anyway, sorry for so many questions, but I truly appreciate any help or advice and if anyone is looking for a perfect, mint condition, maxed out TiBook with over 2 years of AppleCare left, let me know!
Thanks!
