I love my 15AL and i have to say i compared it to my brother's 12AL (2nd gen) this weekend and I loved it!!! I am so glad i got the 15, the screen actually is a little better on the 15. Anyway I know that there is nothing wrong with my screen since my other brother's 15Ti had this same complaint. Some images do not display in full colors. On some of my images, usually very high quality and usually digitally generated, show gradience in a picture, for example it looks as if not all shades of the colors are being show. This is the equivalent of changing from millions to thousands of colors, but I feel that even though my screen is at millions and 80% of my images look fine, sometimes images look like they are not being fully displayed. So i have 2 questions.

1) If this is the case with these laptop screens (i know another topic touched on this very issue), Does this happen on the apple cinema displays?

2) etc... Does this happen on PC laptops?

Why don't you post one of the problematic images so we can make comparisons?

So far, I haven't noticed anything like what you describe, however.

checked my theory, the image in question looked bad on my crt as well oh ... maybe i was just able to see the poor color distribution because the powerbook is clearer than my crt i guess?
