Hey everyone,
2 Problems
1)
I was an avid iCal user up until a week ago when all of a sudden it stopped working. I would click the icon in my dock and nothing happened. So i went to the application, clicked that, and iCal's graphic disappeared stating that it was just an empty 0k application. I deleted what remained.
Now here is the problem. I have downloaded 1.5.1 of iCal and whenever it tries to install it will not work. My roommate has an iBook as well and sent myself his iCal, and that doesn't work either. Why does my computer hate iCal.
2)
My iPod is recognized as an external hard drive in finder, however, it no longer syncs with iTunes. It doesn't even show up in itunes. I've tried resetting the iPod the computer already and nothing has happened. Suggestions?
Why do these "i" apps/products hate my iBook? Please help!
Tom

I haven't used OS X in awhile so I most likely am wrong.
iCal: I think deleting the preference file might help. And also any Application Support files. You will lose your data, but the app might start after that. Those files should remain after upgrading/re-installing so they could be corrupt. You could back them up to your desktop so you still have them incase this does not help. Since I don't have OS X in front of me I can't tell you exactly what files to delete. Search for iCal. They should reside in your Library folder.
Itunes: Also delete the preference file. The same as above holds true. You might lose your playlist? I think those are stored in /Documents/iTunes/ as a xml file.
Well, good luck, and if you lose data, not my fault. Just back-up those files and note their location. Put them back if the apps are still wonkey. I wish you the best.

1. For iCal, try deleting the preferences file:
home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.ical.plist
then reinstall iCal.
2. Open iTunes with your iPod connected, and click the iPod button in the bottom right corner. Check which options you have checked (auto updating, mount as hard drive, etc).
