I've decided that I might soon need to part with my beloved iBook and upgrade to a 12" PB G4. Not that the iBook is slow, the thing is fast, but I'm getting more into Photoshop and web design work, probably going to major in that in college, if not do a ton of work with it, and I need the power of a G4, but I'm having trouble deciding the value of it. Heres what it is:

iBook 12" 900MHz
Purchased in July 2003
AppleCare until whenever it expires (July 2006?)
Airport
640MB RAM
Combo Drive
40GB Hard Drive
Excellent condition. No dead pixels on the screen. Just very light keyboard marks on the LCD, but unless you turn the brightness on the display down and shine a bright light at it, you'll never see them. Plus, all the original CDs, manuals and box would be included

Plus, I've already preordered Panther. So, if and when I get the PB, I'll have Panther preinstalled, so I would also throw in the Panther I just bought.

The PB at the edu store is $13 or $1400, I dont remember exactly, and I'm thinking the value of the iBook would be around $1300 with all those goodies, maybe more considering overall, about $1800 has been spent on my baby, so I'm hoping I can either come out of the deal even or ahead. But I'd like opinions from everyone, thanks

your ibook would keep you going for a little while. My gf is doing the web design on her 800mhz 12" ibook, and it works perfectly on heavy photoshop and dreamweaver duty. However, we are thinking upgrade to the 15" al book to make her work more efficiently. One thing I would like to point out is the panther upgrade option. I think unless you are buying more than one license; you will break the agreement of the software for the single user. I might be wrong but it is always good to check.

I just saw a 900 go for like $970 on eBay. It was a fluke and I should have jumped on it. I suggest you eBay it. Just title your auction right and you'll get $1200 if not more.
