It seems like its blame apple updates for everything month, but I'll continute because I think this problem has some merit

On both my iMac G3 and iBook after installing 10.2.8 the audio playback seems to get distorted more often. For example when iTunes is playing, and other processor intensive tasks are active iTunes used to just stutter for a second. Things like changing the volume, or playing a quicktime movie in the background used to just cause momentary pauses as well.

It seems after the update, the stuttering has turned into more annoying screeches and buzzes. almost like record scratching.

Tell me I'm not alone.
