Odd thing happening to me, whenever I log into a secure site (little lock shows up) i get this ultra high pitched sound coming from somewhere within my PB. but when i use camino or explorer, i get none of that ultra high pitched sound. Odd.

This happens to me and it happens on all of my family's mac (FP iMac, iBook and tibook)

It is a thing with Safari and not the AlBook.

Yep, this is a very common issue that deals almost entirely with the Safari program, regardless of the system. When entering secure sites (Escp. online banking sites) weird noises are emitted. We can only hope Apple fixes it in the next update.

One can always look at the bright side. Now you know you are shopping at a secure site. If it doesn't whine, don't type in your credit card info!

This happenes on mine as well, also on others that I know of who also owns the Al Powerbooks. This seems to be like a normal thing.

This was discussed some time back, but *I think* it's the sound from the video graphics card (don't remember why). For some reason only Safari brings out this sound.
