Airport reception is definately improved over the Ti, I;m topping about 200 right whereas on the DVI I'd get maybe 140-160.

Congrats on your new found joy.
And yes, the wireless reception is much better on the Al 17 than the Ti 15.

Very snappy, especially in finder actions. Strtup is a bit odd though, looooong pause at the black screen with an almost instant jump to the desktop.

I love that powerbook but I have to admit that tiny keyboard looks totally stupid on such a big laptop.

Beautiful! I thought the keyboard looked bigger in other pictures, but it looks pretty in those pictures. Can't wait to get my 15''! It will be a happy day

I've noticed the same thing on my Al 15". In fact, of the 6 Macs I've owned that ran OS X, none of them started up the same... (and two were the same model and specs).... it's just the Mac uniqueness I guess!!

hard disk is also MUCH quieter than on the Ti, I almost never hear it, the machine seems dead quiet to me. Have not experienced any fan noise whatsoever.

How are the built in speakers? They seem pretty big.
