I put my LCD above my powerbook, and I make the corresponding adjustment in:
System preferences -> Displays

However, I can't drag some of the windows across my powerbook screen. It is weired ... Finder works perfectly, but I can't make it work with (say) Safari and Keynote. The menu bar is 'blocking' the window and I can't move it over to the LCD at the top.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

This was covered in an earlier thread, but the issue is that you need to drag your mouse far enough into the top display to fit the entire window, and then the window will appear on that display.

If the window you're trying to drag into the top display is bigger than that display (or at least taller), it probably won't transfer.
