I can't make up my mind 12 or 15 inch? I like the 12 inch for portability, great on the train. But I like the 15 inch for real estate. I will use it to do some video editing while on the go, so the extra space would be nice. The hinge on the 15 inch looks a little more stable. What are you all using and how do you like it? Thanks.

The 15" has a much better video board, bigger screen, more expandable (CardBus, FW800), more RAM, more HD, and a smaller TV adapter--which is included without costing another $19. And the 15" doesn't cost much more. You can even add a lighted keyboard for $69--not an option on the 12"

If portability is the consideration above all else, the 12" is great. Otherwise, I recommend the 15". But wait until next month and get Panther included.

What kind of train do you plan on using your powerbook?

If on Amtrak you'd have plenty of room for the 15". Amtrak's Acela bullet trains from Boston to NYC to DC have plug ins at each seat which are very very convenient.

But if on a commutor train which I'm guessing would be more cramped, the 12" would be better.

I'm on one of those Embraer Regional Jets almost every week, they are VERY small. I use my 12" ibook for that. I'm 6'4" so its a tight fit anyhow, but the 12" is workable on all seats. The 15" would not work though.

I usually get the emergency exit row though, and there you could easily use a 15" or even a 17".
