Hi all, It has been a while since I posted here as I have been in between macs but my new 12" 1Ghz SD just got here today and I wanted to post and let everyone know that it is one that has no problems whatsoever, perfect from what I can tell so far. Any questions ask away, I am excited to be back at the forums....

How much RAM do you have? How's the speed? If you have less RAM (256 or 512), how many major apps can you run at the same time (office, PS, Safari etc) at a useful speed? Thanks for the info...

P.S. How's the screen - quality, brightness, etc?

I like my powerbook, too. The only problem I've found is that it wobbles a bit... gets a little warm too. Very quiet. Speakers aren't bad considering size (better than my Vaio). Sleep mode is great, and the unit's light yet solid. 256 RAM is okay for now; I can have three apps open without any noticeable problems. Will upgrade sometime soon to 768 since it's cheap and because I want to do some video work.

Glad to hear you love your Rev. B...Apple really did improve on this unit, it's rare to hear a complaint about them.

My Rev B 12" is my first laptop, and I have to say I love the damn thing. I had the base 256 megs of ram in it until a couple days ago when I bumped it up to the 768 that makes it feel a bit more comfortable. I would probably prefer a larger screen, but since I take so many trips, the 12" is perfect for me. Best purchase of anything I've made in months.

This is really an Awesome Powerbook!! Even with the Base 256MB under 10.2.7 it flies and Never Crashes. The more I use it, the More I love it which is rare in this day and age. I think it really is the cream of the new AL PB's and definately gives the most bang for the buck. Nitpicking, mine does wobble slightly depending on the surface. I have yet to determine if this is because it is so narrow and is more critical of flat surfaces than the wider books or if it is warped. Funny thing is, I can usually move it around a little on whatever surface it is on and stop the wobble. Also, the screen Should have a much better viewing angle before washing out. But over all, this is one incredible Mac - and I have used most of them from the past 10 years!

I too have to say I love the new 12”! I went for the 1ghz TiBook and I have to say that in some things it is actually quicker. I thought that I would miss the screen real estate, but that has not been the case at all. It truly is a wonderful machine and came in flawless.

What a blessing it is and the keyboard is awesome!

PS: By the way, thanks AssassyN for the review that help me so much on this one.
