Hi. A question for those those of you who frequently buy new apple latops.

I am currently running a Pismo 500 with 1 mb RAM and OS X (10.1.5).

My last battery is dying and I will probably buy a new one. While looking for the battery I came across these drives which will work in my Pismo.

60.0GB Hitachi/IBM Travelstar 7K60 ***7200RPM** 8MB Data Buffer ATA/6 9.5mm UltraSlim 2.5" NoteBook Drive

or the

40.0GB Hitachi/IBM TravelStar 40GNX 5400RPM 8MB Buffer 2.5" 9.5MM SuperSlim NoteBook Drive.

Since I am already out of space on the stock drive and almost managed to fill my external 30 gig drive, I was thinking of also upgrading the hard drive.

If I upgrade the drive and load everything onto it, would I then be able to put that drive into a 15" Al book if purchase one next year?

Any ideas or pitfalls that I should watch for?

Thanks,
Chris.
