I have an almost flawless new 15" 1.2 GHz Powerbook, but I've a quick question about the combo drive. I've never had a slot loading drive on any machine before, but this one seems excessively noisy. Any time you access the disk it makes loud clicking noises. Put it this way - there is no way I could use it in a library.

So my question is - am I being too picky? Do everyone's combo/super drives make loud noises?

Mine is also loud. All notebook opticals tend to be loud -- though I suppose this one may be a little more than most. I'm not too concerned about it, though.
