This has happened three times since I woke up yesterday morning. I left my Tibook running all night because I was downloading and didn't wantto interrupt. When I woke up the fan was going at top speed (the Tibook was on my desk with nothing blocking the fans) and the screen was black as per usual. But when I when I hit the touch pad to wake it it didn't wake. Nothing woke it infact and I had to shut it down and restart.
This happened again later that day when i left the computer running while I was in class, and again today, though it was a frozen screen saver, not a black screen, that I couldn't get out of.
Also, I have no idea if it's related, but I've heard a click coming from the computer that I've never EVER heard before. It's a single click, that comes from (I'm guessing..) around the fan.
Any ideas? Any words to reassure me?

Here's my info: Powerbook G4 667, 768mb of ram, 10.2.8, airport, running (at the time) ICQ, MSN, iChat, Mail, Poison, iTunes.

it is not abnormal for me to leave my computer 'awake' while I sleep, but never before have I had this problem.

p.s. Maybe I'm just more sensitive to it right now, but my fan seems to be running a lot more than it used to.

Thanks.
