Hi there

I recently tried to boot up my powerbook 550mhz combo into os 9 for the first time in ages. I am not greeted by a flashing questionmark on startup.

I have tried holding down X on startup but this does nothing.

Holding down option shows no bootable drives.

Whats worse is that im on an island to the south of korea - minus any software cds... yes yes i am an idiot.

I have looked into purchasing disk warrior but it will take forever to get here (2-3 weeks plus the extra time mail takes to get here - another 2 weeks or so ) and there are no stores that stock apple stuff nor does anyone i know have an apple computer.

I tried downloading dw from lime wire but i only have access to pcs for burning cds and couldnt figure out how to burn cds on pcs from .dmg files without the aid of a mac.

I would really love it if anyone could suggest somekind of solution.

Try changing the extension from ".DMG" to ".ISO" and burning them with Nero Burning ROM on the PC. As long as the disk images are in 'CDR/DVD Master' format then it should work.
