So, I took my 'buy a bundle' rebate envelope to the post office to be weight for proper postage.

"one stamp" says the clerk, so he puts it on and sends it.

i JUST NOW get back from my honeymoon to find out that it has been returned to sender for 'postage due', and as of tomorrow (tuesday, 10/21) i think it's the 31st or 32nd day after i purchased the bundle.

do you think apple will show any sympathy?

i hate the usps ... should have sent priority.

Yikes, thats terrible. According to the fine print the last day for Apple to receive it is by Nov 15th, but it does state 30 days after purchase. I would assume they would be lenient because if you bought it online for example, the date of purchase would really be the day you received the PB and are able to cut out the UPC. Call the 800 number on the rebate form and tell them what happened. Most likely they will say you will be fine, make sure to get the reps name and have them write your name down as well to be safe.

Was it post marked? If it is then don't open it. Put it in another envelope and resend it. Hopefully Apple will take it. Good luck.

Usually any company will find any use any excuse to avoid having to pay out a rebate.
But maybe apple is different. I'd say you may be out of luck.

Congrats on the honeymoon BTW.

Yes, put the old one in a new envelope and write something to explain it. Since it is just 31st day after your purcahse, I think with the RETURN sign on the envelope, you should be able to clarify things clearly. Good luck!
