I'm owner of 15" Albook (1 GHZ with 512 MB) and I wasn't sure how the S-video plug works?? I plugged it to my Powerbook to TV. and nothing appeared on my TV Screen? Is there something that I must do before hooking up? Or what??

Thanks in advance!!!!!

if i am not mistaken, it recognizes the tv as a monitor, so you have to mess with the preference panel.but then again, i could be way wrong.

You'll also need to make sure to set up the television correctly—tell the television where it's getting the signal from that you want to see (composite video, analog, s-video...).

This is how you do it. Put your PB to sleep (close the lid), plug the cable into the PB and the TV, turn the TV on, wake your PB, and finally set your TV to accept the input (probably called AV or AUX). Hope this helps.

You don't have to put it to sleep. Select Detect Displays from the Displays preference pane or the Displays menuling.

Roger this one. I think you may even have to fiddle with the resolution. I can't remember if this was the case when I hooked up my PB through S-Video, but I know that with the old AV cables you had to lower the resolution in order to view anything on screen.
