Kensington Ram??

I am looking to add more ram to my PB 17(1.33) and wanted to know if certain brand names are better than others or are they more or less the same?
I can get a Kensington 512 ram for $190 Canadian.
Does anybody know if the Kensington brand is any good and if the price is right?

I have used Kingston Ram many times over the past 10 years. Never had a problem. I just ordered another Kingston 512 for a 12" Powerbook. You should have no problem with it at all.

Where can you get it for 190$CAN, I am interested, I am from Montreal. Is it the ValueRam from Kensington or the regular "branded".

Just wondering ... do you guys mean "Kensington" (the accessory maker) or "Kingston" (the memory maker)?

They must mean "Kingston." After all, they're talking about RAM and not input devices or other accessories. Kensington doesn't make or sell any RAM.

I'm sure they meant Kingston, the ram maker. But yea... I hope they can figure out a way to sell the 1 gig stick ram cheaper than now for the Powerbooks... I want one, but don't want to spend $600 for one.

I think the best idea if you need a 1 GB module is to just wait a few months. RAM prices are already high now which can't be good for prices on the 1 GB modules. Having 1 GB should be enough for just about anyone, but if you really need more RAM for your work or something, then adding a pair of 1 GB modules is an investment. It's just a very expensive one for now.
