I have purchased a 12" pb two weeks ago and I was satisfied with it until the 12"ibook announaced today.
other than the fact that I could've saved tons of dollars by going ibook, yes i'd lose some speed, I have always wanted the white laptop that just stands out in the crowd...

there have already been some PC laptops that have this aluminimum finishing that look and feel like the PB.

If I had a choice, I'd pick this new 12"ibook any day of the week over the 12"pb.

I have a one week old Powerbook too. And although it's great, I do miss the white iBook.

That was what really sold me into the iBook...I'm a graphic designer so everyone was against me buying one, telling me to get a pb instead. But the white is just sooooooo totally apple that i couldnt pass up the opportunity. Yeah it is very true, that pbs are faster but pc's definitely do have aluminun/silverish casings now as well, so its not as unique.

I love the whiteness of my iBook. More people definitly are caught by its beauty. Don't get me wrong. Pb's are very nice as well, but white is just neater. I'm a designer so im very visual and everlything i buy has to have look and power balanced or else i wont get it. And so definitely iBooks are super cool.

I do like the white look. My eMac looks great in white, and I'm tempted by the iBooks now too.
