I heard that there are now starting to release factory refurbished 1.33Ghz 17" Powerbooks.
I can save $300 by purchasing a refurbished Powerbook. It does not come with Panther installed but may be a $20 upgrade. What have been your experiences with refurbished Powerbooks. Is it worth the savings. Thanks

they will probably have the same OS as they did when they were "new". They won't bump the OS on a refurbed item...

who knows, i could be proved wrong.

I'm on a refurb 17 inch powerbook right now. It is as new as they come. I like to buy refurb, I save money and also I know that a tech has gone over every part of my powerbook just to make sure it is good to go. A new powerbook is probably only checked one out of every batch done. I've bought exclusively refurb apple items and have never had a lemon yet, same warranty anyway!
