Nope, the iBookG4s use DDR-266 memory.

It's VERY low for Apple. I'd upgrade through Apple actually...you can get that 512MB SODIMM for around ~$100, but if you don't feel like installing it or worrying about it not working, it's worth it.

Apple charges DOUBLE ($300) for the same 512MB SODIMM in the 12" PB...strange.

I guess it costs more because it is hard to install... it's not worth 150 bucks of install, but it is easier on the ibook

I've been searching around ramseeker and haven't been able to find anywhere that specifically sells ram for the G4 ibooks. Has anybody else been able to find any sites.

That's because they came out today.

There is no "G4 iBook RAM"...it's a DDR266 SODIMM module. www.coastmemory.com is where I recommend. It's the EXACT SAME RAM used in the 12" PowerBooks, so if you buy 12" PB RAM, you'll get G4 iBook RAM.
