Wasn't it when OS X first came out that firmware updates became an issue on some powerbooks. If I remember right, I just dodged the issue, not liking the sounds of the problems they gave some PB G3 owners. So I've got a Pismo 400 that never had any firmware update (to my recollection) and a TiBook. Both are at 10.2.6.

Will a PB get a warning if there's a firmware update advised before installing a new OS version? Any way of determining firmware status? (nothing in System Profiler seems to say)
