Hmm, I've never done this, but I was wondering if it's a problem if you run your PB on the AC adapter without a battery in the bay? I've switched batteries without putting the computer to sleep and it shows that there is no battery in the menu bar while I'm doing so, but as for leaving the bay empty... Anyone know?

It won't do you computer any harm unless the power fluctuates. I used to do it all the time with my Pismo was going to be sitting on the desk for days.

The new PBs are cool that you can deepsleep the thing and take out the battery, swap in another, wake it up and it's fine! Must be an auxiliary battery inside.

Mine didn't. And on a related note, the Pismo battery latch got caught easily so I'd move it from desk to sofa and the battery'd get caught on my belt or pants and the battery would come out an eigtht of an inch so that I'd have to start up again.

only the 15 and 17 though. The 12 does not have this feature.
