Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if it's a problem at all... anyways, whenever i use a second display via the dvi/vga adaptor(hooked up to a viewsonic p95f+ at work and a 19 Lacie 3 at home) i get a vertical stripe/line on the left side of the monitors that's super bright, about 1 pixel in width. this happens wheather i'm using dual display or if i'm using it with the lid closed on my powerbook. actually, to be more accurate, the bright vertical line occurs in every opened window - on the left side. on the left side of everything, pictures and fonts... kinda makes everything a little blurry or seem out of focus...

Could be a bad DVI-VGA adapter. Try a different one if you can. You don't have to use Apple's model... I've got three lying around from various PC ATI video card purchases that work just fine (actually, I like them better than the Apple ones since they are just a short little adapter, not two plugs with a cable in between like the Apple one. Less prone to breakage). Also, if you can, try connecting to a DVI display and see if you get the same artifact.
