Looking at the pics up on Apple's site, the 14" iBook G4 doesn't look so ungainly as the 14" iBook G3 did, or does it? I love the form factor of my 12" iBook, but if I upgrade I'd like a 1 GHz 12". When I bought my iBook 600, there was a 500 MHz 12", 600 MHz 12", and 600 MHz 14".

If the new 14" is smaller dimensioned I'd consider it.

From using the apple website and the little ibook G3 flyer I had (aren't those things the best to drool over purchases with) they are the same size exactly.

I used to think the G4 14 was stupid, but I used it and I found it to be great to type on and basically just as good as the 12. Maybe not as cute, but that extra room was nice.

Damn, I'm getting very tempted to buy an iBook G4. I really want a PowerBook, but I want to wait for a PB G5.

I'll have to try out a 14" and see if I like it. How much faster is the 1GHz G4 iBook than the 800 MHz? Does 200 MHz make all that much difference? I do really like my 12", but the AE, built in BT option, and especially the Radeon 9200 about has me sold! Even the 800 MHz 12" G4 iBook would be a significant upgrade for me.
