Has anyone tried over clocking a 17" PBook? Is there a site with insturctions how to do it?

I don't think there's a site that shows you how to do it, at least, not that I know of. I don't see the reason to overclock the Powerbook anyways. Already fast enough for me. But if you can, do it, I also would like to see what happens. I just don't want to do it first and because the second ever "burn" Apple.

No, it's plenty fast. I'm wondering how much life I can get out of my Rev A 17" while waiting for a G5 17" Pbook.

Not to be sarcastic, but the life you get out of an overclocked 17" is likely to be so short that you'll be buying a Rev B machine, in no time, to replace the one you smoked.
Overclocking Laptops, especially the ones made in the last few years, is very very risky. The heat generated in such a confined space would put an incredible stress on the CPU and the other logic board electronics... Eventually something will meet with an untimely death.
